The association was created on 1974 by Bernard-Yves Sabot.
Since this date, it was no day off ! The staff is working 7/7 and 365 days a year. We are helping more than 15 childs daily for small injuries. Small injuries, but very important for them ! And never forget that small injuries will grow up and, considering of hygienic environment, infection risk is high. It will be worst every day if we don’t do something. Daily, 8 adultes are treated for large infected wounds. Very large wounds, infected. Bedsores, amputated limbs, open fractures are daily treated on the street. Without us, these people will die of sepsis in a very short time. Between 8 and 12 burned people are treated at the hospital. Very big cases, women burned sometimes on more than 80% of the body. Medications are expensive, painkillers nonexistent. The only salvation of these people is to be able to have free care from Action Benarès. |
